DOCS / RESPOND
Respond
Decision synthesis, forecasts, and the Marres Brief.
The Respond stage turns analysis into a decision record that can be challenged, approved, and revisited.
Decision Console
The Decision Console is the analyst's synthesis layer. It should answer:
- What decision is being recommended?
- Which evidence materially supports it?
- Which alternative was rejected, and why?
- Which assumptions carry the most decision risk?
- What would cause the team to pause, reverse, or adapt?
- What should be measured after action?
Completion is a review state, not a declaration that uncertainty has disappeared.
Strategy Forecast
The forecast combines model outputs with explicit business assumptions and regime-specific adjustments. It can compare scenario-level revenue, contribution, and return measures and export structured calculations for further review.
Forecasts should be presented as conditional scenarios. Inputs supplied by the analyst should remain distinguishable from values derived by the platform.
Marres Brief
The Marres Brief is the capstone decision document. It synthesises available evidence, modelling, uncertainty analysis, account intelligence, and analyst judgement into an executive explanation.
A strong brief contains:
- the decision and recommended action;
- the present business and market state;
- the strongest supporting and conflicting evidence;
- modeled opportunity and uncertainty;
- competitor-response considerations;
- implementation conditions; and
- a monitoring and learning plan.
Generated prose is a drafting aid. The analyst remains responsible for checking every material claim against its linked artefact before delivery.
